Just moved here. So far, so good. Some parts of the city feel like a sleepy beach town, which is cool by me. But the beach is great. The sun is awesome. The traffic is nonexistent (I know that'll change in the winter, but still...). The people leave a bit to be desired, but there are good people everywhere, so I guess I just have to find them.

I checked out Miami before definitely settling on FTL, and man that place just wasn't my scene. It's cool to go down and hangout. And there are some awesome places down there. But it struck me as too fake and superficial. Like everyone is trying to out flash you.

Where do the nice, young, single girls hangout in Fort Lauderdale? If there are any of them here at all....

It's not too bad really. It's kind of like San Diego except with flat terrain, sweltering summer, corruptly liberal politics, lack of military presence, marginally lower cost of living, higher crime, trading the Mexicans with Jamaicans and cleaner air, right? LOL!

When I visit I love to go to Shooters and Beach Place is great. Sloppy Joes is good too. I know this is not Ft Laud but I went to the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood I think on Seminole and they have this outdoor area filled with stores and restaurants. I had alot of fun there too.
