My brother thinks Alpharetta is ok , and he has a larger and nicer house than he did in Cooper City .... but he has had his car broken into twice at the Alpharetta Mall , had a guy tailgate him and then pull a gun on him while driving on the GA 400 up from Mid Town because my brother supposedly cut him off .... things that never happened to him in "horribly " dangerous South Florida ... he likes Alpharetta ok , but he sees much of the same phoniness and keeping up with the "Joneses " that he saw in Weston and Cooper City ... he is making a heck of a lot more money and his commute his only ten minutes in Windward where he lives and works ... but I know he would move back to South Florida if he could find a job that paid him what he makes in Georgia ... he also misses the ocean as he is a PADI certified diver !!

We moved to Cumming from Cooper City and we love it here. I grew up in Cooper City, went to Cooper City Elementary, Pioneer Middle and graduated from Cooper City High. I feel the schools that my kids are in here are so much better and I find the people in Cumming so genuine.

I hope you are correct about the schools as Georgia public schools are generally ranked lower even then Florida public schools ... I like Cooper City and have always felt most people were down to earth and friendly .

I would say that CCHS is the better of all the evils in terms of public school, but please know that there are drugs in private schools as well. The education he got was okay, nothing great.
I've never heard of any school anywhere on U.S. soil that had an absense of drugs or kids that used drugs. It's just strongly weaved into American culture unfortunately.

I grew up, well throughout Michigan, and my high school years were spent in a tiny little town in the middle of nowhere with about 30 in the graduating class.

Guess what, there were drugs there! Mostly speed type stuff and all the typical pot, acid, meth, shrooms, etc. Drinking and smoking was popular on weekends...etc.

Never saw cocaine or heroin or crack though.

In short, if someone told me that some South Florida school system didn't have any drugs at all...I'd think that person was about as naive as a person could possibly be!

Stay away from Davie and Southwest Ranches which have the largest lots. Any plot of land above an acre can have a horse and since western Broward used to be all rural as recently as the 70's you can find large animals scattered about. Of course you may end up seeing a cow or two if you're living in any of the Broward suburbs as Davie and Southwest Ranches are pretty central areas.

Coral Springs is beautiful and I've done most of my homework in that area. nearly all of their schools are A rated and a lot of them are magnet schools, so please google Coral Springs, I think you will be very happy with what you read. They have something like 458 soccer teams for the kids, big, big, big kid friendly place. I was told tha it was voted the safest city in broward. I don't know how true that is, but it seems nice.
Chelsea have you decided to move to Coral Springs?
