We are new to the West Pembroke Pines area and I've seen so many dance studios in Pembroke Pines & Weston area but so hard to choose. Looking for a studio that is friendly and promotes self esteem. My daughter is very shy teenager and has been dancing only for 2 years. Mostly interested in ballet & lyrical/contemporary dance. I will be calling around next week, but like to know which one would be best for my daughter. Any info is appreciated.

Also looking for something not more than 18-20 mins travel time. I've looked at the following dance studios websites

1. Academy of Arts, Inc. (West Pembroke Pines)
2. Dancers Gallery (Miramar Pkwy)
3. Dance Theatre of Broward (Southwest Ranches)
4. Dancing Plus (Pembroke Pines)
5. London Academy of dance (but didn't see lyrical in the class schedule) (Pembroke Pines)
6. International Dance Academy (Weston)
7. Performance Edge Dance Studio (Weston)
8. Pure Energy Dance Centre, Inc. (Weston)

I've seen others but these are the ones I've viewed online. Again any info will help in deciding. Thanks!

My DD does not take dance (she did when she was 3 or 4...in Weston, at Kelly's School of Dance) but she has friends that go to Performance Edge and they LOVE IT. But, I mean, they are REALLY into it, seems like they are always going somewhere involving dance...different competitions and events, all over the place. Not sure how heavily involved you want to be, and not sure if they have varying degrees of involvement.

Hope this helps somewhat.
