Your welcome - I just know exactly what you are going through so, I was so thorough in my research. I don't have physical experience, but the numbers pretty much speak for themselves.

I haven't read anyone else's posts yet but I had to share: there are no bookstores in Weston. I work there and it is disconcerting that I have to go to Pembroke Pines or Sunrise to find a Borders or Barnes and Noble. What kind of city is that??

I agree...that's odd nolegirl. Maybe there's a chain waiting for The Commons to be built.

Unfortunately, as discussed in another post, Davie Commons project is gone. The closest bookstore is still 20 minute drive from my home.

According to mapquest, it looks like a 45 minute commute from parkland to his office in medley. Is the highway traffic that bad that it increases the drive time?? Highway travel??
yes.

Yeah-but they all suck. What are you using as a point of comparison? Other FL schools?

The schools in Weston and Parkland are the best around here, but they are not good if you have ever lived anywhere else.

I know love, but if you don't have an option then you have to make the best of what you got. I hope that I can get my boys into private school by way of scholarship, but I don't know that - that is guaranteed, so I would want at minimum to have them in a good public school. I don't love NYC schools, so I don't know where I will be with the Florida school system.

Weston is a very residential type of town with limited industrial development. I like that we don't have plazas galore. I have no problem going to Pembroke Pines or Sunrise if I need a book.

Schools in Parkland and Weston are very good if you ever lived in Georgia
