Unfortunately, Gringas or Americanas tend to be viewed in a skewed way down here in So. Florida but AM or American Men are seen in a different light tho.......... Over the years I, and others have noticed American women don't get a fair shake. To understand this, the USA gal must first venture to South America, then, and only then will u truly understand Latins and how they view the world, USA and Americans; men and women. If u r female/white and no spanish; South Florida is the last place u wanna call home. Stay in Minnesota or move to Hawaii.

Could you elaborate on that? Just curious. (You didn't make a clear point, and I'm not trying to be rude, I just want to understand what you are saying).

But may I recommend that, while you get frustrated at the situation, you may also take a class in Spanish and attend Spanish speaking events to speed up the process of learning the language? You will find that it is not all that difficult or lengthy to reach a decent level. You may not like to "have" to do it, so think of it of an enrichment, which learning another language really is.

In six months you may still be without a job or you may be bilingual (and still without a job, lol!) I would give it a chance... Friendly,

The more fluent the more likely to get a job? Someone teach me Spanish! LoL, Just Kidding
But Not Really

I meet rude people everywhere in the US, so that's not my major problem, i feel like the people down here are not genuine or trustworthy(watch your back girl), alot of people down here do alot of drugs and are very seedy type of people

Jesus .... where the hell do you live ???????

what the Floridian is trying to say is that American girls are the MINORITY down here...Latina girls rule down here and men love them. It's as simple as that.

I'm an AA female and I love South Florida, out of all the places I've lived that is the only place I can call home. I love the diversity, because I am a very diverse person myself. I can speak English and Spanish. I can understand 5 languages. I am purely aware that people in South Florida are crazy, CRAZY AS HELL, and none of them can damn drive!! I tell you!! But I'm used to it and I can deal with it. There's never a dull moment.

Yes, it is expensive to live here and the pay kinda sucks. But, there are ways around that. You can do some freelance/home based opportunities on the side to supplement your income or get a 2nd job. If you have teenaged relatives, teach them how to babysit and pay them. I think teens need to learn how to handle work, school and other responsibilities BEFORE college, anyways. We need to keep teens busy for the majority of their time to keep their asses out of trouble. They will be too tired for mischief!
