My relocation date is approaching and we still haven't decided on a City. Is anyone familiar with Tamarac is this a good place to raise teens. What about the surrounding cities. Chances are we will be looking into town homes at first. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks bunches!

Oh thank you for saving me. Schools are so important. You said parts of plantation you mean there are parts that are not not diserable? I thought all of Plantation was a good area shows how much I know. You did not mention Pembroke Pines.

Thank u again for being so honest!

theres nice subdivisions in west pines but the whole area has become kind of a zoo, tons of people from miami and south america have settled there and its really overcrowded....i guess most of plantation is good, just not sure about the schools there....coral springs/parkland is the way to go but its not cheap, especially parkland....good luck

Thanks again. That is the problem it is a huge cost of living jump from here in Vegas, My husband is not so confident that the pay scales will match the rent/housing prices. I am trying to get a short term lease (less than a year) wherever we decide that way if we just hate it it won't be forever.

Can I bother you again to ask what about Cooper City? And reach and ask about homestead. Just trying to play out all of my options. I am really finding your input very very useful! It is hard doing this w/o being there.

forget homestead entirely, NO way...thats south miami anyhow just before the keys...cooper city is good...its down in south broward by pines, davie and weston area...u gotta kind of come here and look around because it is a very different place to actually live in as opposed to vacation in. i would rent a place for 7 months or a yr. the real estate market is slowly crashing here so i wouldnt buy anything now unless u had to.

Okay I am going to show this to my husband because he is so stubborn over Homestead because he read the properties there are new and the rent is low but i just did not like that idea at all plus the schools have really low ratings.

I am so excited right now though because I just found a Condo on Sable Palm Drv in Davie and both the MS and HS has great A ratings! Thank u, Thank u, Thank u!
