My backyard is pretty small and I have a screened patio that takes up a bulk of it. Is it ok to grill inside the screened patio? Or just a bad idea?

It's never a good idea to grill in an enclosed area, even if it's screened, if it doesn't have a door to get out definitely not a good idea. Check with the complex you live in and or call the town for their ordinance for grills. Burns are just about the worst injury you could ever have not to mention the damage a fire can do to your home and neighbors.

I agree. We have 2 doors on our screened porch and 2 doors back into the house.

It also depends on the grille. If you are using a conventional grille with a lid without the remotest possibility of flames licking up a wall, then you are on the safe side. You also need to have a door on the screen enclosure. When grilling, make sure you close the door to the inside because of smoke getting in.

I have two doors leading out of the screen enclosure and a sliding glass door leading back into the house. I'll also be using a gas grill. Sound ok?

Sounds fine just make sure the grill is far enough from the house and you would have a clear path to the door if you need one.

Alright great. Any tips for securing my grill on the patio? Had a friend who had his stolen right off his patio not too long ago.
