If you find a good place let me know, I have a gay friend in Wilton Manors tired of scraping by and looking for a place with better men. He doesn't like cold weather and moved from up north a few years ago. Cute blond guy for all you gay guys..LOL!

Where are you thinking? Central, West, North...what ideas have you had?

I'm in Jax, and I'd consider most of the city to be gay-tolerant, but not necessarily gay-friendly, though I hope that changes!

Default Mitch...

just a suggestion: If you've several friends who are finding Ft. Lauderdale too expensive, band together and move all to a new town. This way you'll not be alone and will have friends to lean on. Start a club or you may find one wherever you move to. With the state of real estate, you should have no problem finding nice towns w/reasonable prices. As for where, check out the threads and tally up the ones that have high marks vs not. Visit those that sound appealing, look around, settle on one and move. Good luck to you and your friend!

P. S. - Seems Hernando and Pasco counties are places to start.

move to asheville nc... it is the gayest city i've ever been to in my life. but stick in the city, most of that area is still very backwoods-thinking, so live as close to the city of asheville as possible. dont know anything about tn, but i'd imagine if you cant find asheville nc appealing, you may want to try charlotte or atlanta, a much bigger city that might be more tolerable. stay out of the small towns in nc and tn. trust me.
