Having been in/out of south Florida for the last 10 years…I have a question for south Florida residents.

Would you consider northern Palm Beach County area…from say Palm Beach Gardens north to the Martin County line…the nicest “large scale area” in terms of safe, middle class, and family orientated areas …. of Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties?

If not, then where?

North PBC, Boca Raton (and it's unincorporated horizons), and Broward west of University Dr.

Wellington is the "weston" of Palm Beach County. If you want safe, attractive, family type place...look no further than to Wellington. Good luck

Weston is generally much nicer as far as that type of community goes. Wellington is more like the "Pembroke Pines" of Palm Beach County IMO. It's still a mostly decent area but very congested. State Road 7 looks just like Pines Blvd now, actually not even as nice because the trees aren't grown in. The 12th Fairway and Sugar Pond Manor are some quasi-ghetto thrown in for good measure with high crime, think Sherman Circle Miramar. The rest of the area has a comparable property crime rate with places like Sunrise, which is to say acceptable, but not top notch. I do think Wellington is still nice but just not what it was.

For most families looking for the "white bread" family suburb existence, I usually recommend Boca, Wellington, Royal Palm Beach, Jupiter, and Palm Beach Gardens.

For old Florida, urban seekers, and bohemian types, I recommend completely different areas of PBC.

I also like South Dade east of US1 from Brickell all the way down through Cutler Bay, at many parts expanding west of US1.

I am not that familiar but right now my thought would be Boca or Wellington. Some of the areas seem to have patches of real nice but then also patches of not and Wellington/Boca on the whole seem to have more better areas. Though I have heard very nice things of Jupiter from many

Weston is very nice ( I used to live there ) and still visit frequently .... but the Palm Beach Gardens , Juno Beach and Jupiter areas are the best areas to live in South Florida in my opinion .
