I live by the Julia Tuttle Causeway in Miami Beach but I was just offered a job in Dania. What will my commute be like? Best route to take? Google Maps suggested I-95 or A1A. I figure 95 = traffic but A1A = street lights.

Your best bet will be I-95......

Heavy commuting traffic will be heading south into Miami when you're headed north into Broward..... and visa versa in the evening

I agree with the above, you won't have any problems on 95 unless there is an accident. If there were an accident, you could take A1A instead, the lights on A1A really aren't that bad because they have them timed well, particularly through Dade County.

You're going against most traffic on 95, and even if there is some, there is the Sunpass lane you can take (tho I'm not sure if this is activated in the morning).

A1A isn't bad in the off-season (April through November). My husband sometimes goes that way from Hollywood to Miami when I-95 is backed up because of an accident. It only adds maybe 10 minutes to his commute and it's a much more pleasant drive, in my opinion.
