Hi guys

I am new to the area and looking for good daycare/Prek for my currently 2 year old son. I heard Nova Southeast Family Center is pretty good--but it seems very expensive--are they worth that amount of money?

For toddler it is just hard to search online to find ratings etc...Any one can recommend good daycare or preK in Fort Lauderdale or Plantation? (we live in cross of sunrise and plantation and work in Fort Lauderdale)--so any good ones around this area will be good.

Thanks!!!

I higly recommend going to Parkway Christian Preschool - it is Christian-based, however, they welcome students of all faiths to attend. Great environment, close community feel - my son enjoyed his 2 years there and I did too. The school is in Southwest Ranches, south of I595 on Flamingo Road. From the interstate, take the first left onto a service road and head south almost a mile to the school. By phone, ask for Sheryl or Gloria - Sheryl is the happy, friendly face at the front office, and Gloria is the Principal who is responsible for the great school.

Nova University has an excellent preschool -- The Family Center, in Davie just off University Dr between 595 and Griffin Rd. It is in a huge new building with beautiful classrooms and very experienced and educated preschool teachers (not babysitting). Here's a link: Nova Southeastern University's Mailman Segal Institute for Early Childhood Studies

My child attended the 3 and 4 year old class and it was about 5 years ago. I thought that the teachers were very good, experienced and well educated -- they have a curriculum specialist who reviews and helps the teachers develop appropriate lesson plans. My child was well prepared for elementary school.
