Im trying to buy a condo in an area where there is more of a younger crowd like 20's to early 30's. I was thinking either fort lauderdale maybe sunrise blvd to davie rd somewhere or i was thinking the davie area over by university?? Any suggestions would be helpful?? Thanks

Is it a priority to be near (walking distance) to restaurants, bars, and night life? I'd look around downtown Fort Lauderdale (Broward Boulevard and U.S. 1; Himmarshee; Second Street; "Sailboat Bend"). I know of a lot of 20 somethings who bought in the area. Second Street is a hot night life area for young people. I know prices have come down a LOT for condos in these areas.

Las Olas is the biggest nightlife area. It is located along Las Olas Blvd around US1 and Broward Blvd area in downtown. Anywhere on the beach is pretty young. East Fort Lauderdale (east of US1) is also loaded with young people. Davie is young, but tends to be more of a college student area. Plantation is mixed of young ppl. and families. Hollywood is a mix of young and old. Mainly, stay east of US1 and you'll be near lots of young people. There are other pockets to the west, but the west is mainly dominated by families.

Which places are closest to the beach (walking or say rollerblading). Would that be Las Olas?
