Benihana's is awesome, all the rest are copycats. The new Beni's is really nice inside, it used to be a Macaroni Grill.

It seems the more Japanese restaurants, the less Japanese chefs so there doesn't seem to be as much Benihana-esque theatrics these days, but just some token knife clashing and grill banging by the less experienced. But habatchi dining can still be fun.

In West Boca out on Glades & Lyons (just west of Tpke) there's a place that is ok called Ichiban (I think it is a chain but not sure.) I've been a few times for lunch over a lot of years and I've had few dinners there too. Again, not to rave about but a decent meal and they do an entertaining little onion lava mountain flame throwing thing.
