Can always rent a room somewhere to avoid the long term lease issue. Good idea to "rent" first.

Oakland Park Blvd and A1A. SW corner, to be more specific! The whole area around Oakland and A1A is really nice, IMO. I used to walk my dog late late late at night when I got home from work and never had any issues. When the restaurants close, everyone leaves. I never felt unsafe there.
