They are no where to be found. Did the cold weather kill all of them ? Have there been any sightings. The places I work and live..there would be tons of them this time of year last year. I haven't seen a single iguana since winter. Have they become extinct ??!

I know the two who lived in a tree at our house died the night the temperature was in the 20's. :'( So much for the coma theory.

Many of them died during the unusually cold weather we had this winter. My friend's Facebook pages were littered with comments about how they had tripped over dead iguanas while out walking this winter.

Tons of Iguana's and Monitor lizard's along Griffin Road this week basking in the sunshine. They must have been the resilient ones.

I see a few of them in my complex here in Coral Springs. There's also a TON of them at FAU campus

Not a one of 'em here in North Hollywood, either, and we had them literally hanging from the trees ( driving my dog bats) prior to that. After the cold fronts, we did fairly thorough property checks for carcasses since the buzz was that dogs and cats were feasting on them and becoming violently ill--but we had none of that. They apparently crawled away for shelter as the nights got colder and either relocated altogether or died somewhere else.

The one that lives in my backyard made it through the winter. I'm not sure if all iguana's or only a certain type burrow in the ground. That's what this one did.

This is one in my backyard that I saw. I saw many more along the canals in my neighborhood just sunning themselves on docks and boat lifts.

I still see large iguanas in my neck of the woods in Davie. I have seen a few roadkill of them as well.
