Hello! I am moving from Orlando to Hallandale Beach. I found a very nice apartment. According to what I saw, apparently most city residents are seniors citizens which I like because it means a quiet area. Is there any high crime area that I would avoid? Where are the city beach parks?

I was there and did not notice people speaking in Russian but English and Spanish... so in case I have to learn a third language... this would be great... learning never ends for me!!

Are you sure you're moving? I just replied to a post where you were torn, and had a great job offer in Orlando.....

Stay east of US1, Don't wander dark alleys, lock your car and house at all times, and you'll be fine. The neighborhood is boring, but safe. There is way too much hysteria about all these "bad" SoFla neighborhoods, IMO.

Were you able to find a job here?

P.S...Make friends with your elderly neighbors. They will watch your property like a hawk.

Stay east of US1 and it's generally OK. You will know when you entered a bad area.
