Hey, I just wanted some locals opinions on the thought of living on the beach in Hollywood and driving to the Coconut Creek/North Campus of Broward College 5 days a week for school. From what I understand it's a 20 mile drive but I don't know how to factor traffic into the equation. I would live closer to campus but I got an amazing deal for an apartment which is very hard to pass up. So, I think I'm gonna take the place but I might reconsider if driving north to Coconut Creek 5 days a week would be too much of a hassle...thanks.

Depends on when your classes are. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it, There are plenty of nice places closer to where you'll be going to school.

BCC has much closer campuses.....I know there is a campus somewhere in South Broward closer to Hollywood as well as a nice campus in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. I would look into possibly taking your classes at those campuses rather then driving to Coconut Creek everyday..... fuel costs will add up quickly.

Go to the BCC campus on Hollywood Blvd just east of University, or the one in Davie, if you can. If your school hours are not during rush hour, you can get up 95 fairly quickly and easily to Coconut Creek.

Welcome to Hollywood. I'm staying, and commute be damned. (When I get a job that is.....) The beach is great, and you will love living there.
