Yes, I was referring to greater FTL. We currently live in one of the nicer (safer) areas of Grand Rapids, MI. Lots of restaurants, shopping, and things to do with a family - suppose we would be looking for the same thing in Florida.

Either place is paradise compared to Grand Rapids. My choice would be Vero--better beaches, better fishing, some of the best surfing in Florida right at Sebastian Inlet, virtually the same weather and scenery but without the Ft. Lauderdale congestion and hassle. I see where a poster or 2 are worried about social opportunities for budding young singles in little Vero--well lotsa luck to ya in Broward (or worse yet Dade) unless you're of Caribbean Basin descent. I'd take my chances in Vero. Anywho, $350-$500K will get you a nice house on the barrier island in Vero, walking distance to the beach. Life gets no better.

Default sebastian area?

weve been looking east and west florida to move to from naples, can anyone fill me in on this area/ it right btween vero and melbourne and seems laid back and less expensive to buy into/ can anyone give me the pluses and minuses/ we are young seniors and are searching for more affordable areas to buy into but still want to get some upside potential/ HELP!!
