That's what I meant, too. A lot of people have preconceived notions about our country, good and bad, and from my experience it looks like a good portion of them are wrong.

Maybe I missed some posts that talked about illegals, but that wasn't what I meant.

FUN THINGS TO DO IN LEECOUNTY

Great thing about LeeCounty is that everything from EvergladesCity up to Sarasota are day-tripable. If you like plenty of bars, restaurants, unlimited shopping, beaches, boating, golf, festivals and being 2-3 hours from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Tampa, and 30-60 minutes from Naples and Sarasota, with the Keys close enough for overnight trips, then you WILL have fun here.

I have advocated for this in the past, so it absolutely has my vote. Perhaps with an admonishment at the top of the page to tell all newcomers to "Read the FAQ's before posting".

Reading thru the thread shows there are some valid concerns with putting such a thread together, to keep it balanced and open to debate.
