It is against the city ordinance to hang your clothes outside on a clothesline.

Hmmm. Then what the heck is that permanent clothesline out back that we inherited as part of the sale?

That's funny. In Bonita Springs my next door neighbor didn't have a clothes line, so she would hang her husband's boxers on the tree branches. I tried to think of them as international flags, you know, the ones you see when you visit New York and the U.N. building.

Yea, I know what you mean. Times have sure changed. Now you can't do anything outside without a permit.

Well, I don't want to be a hypocrite because I actually prefer an area with deed restrictions. Maybe our society has become so rude and inconsiderate that we need them. For example, I don't remember being woken up by loud car radios rattling my windows or people leaving their barking dogs out all night. I didn't grow up in a weathy area, but nobody parked on the lawn or left garbage outside.

Its the truth. With out deeds your street becomes a mess. In Brazil we all have 10 foot walls and electric fences around our home. Hows that for control for safety.

I think it depends on your demographic. Some places, like my street, don't have rules and everything is nice and tidy.
