Hello, soon to be neighbors. My husband and I are about to close on a house in Matlacha. Can you please give a referral for insurance companies to call for quotes? I would so appreciate any help you can give us. Regards, Toni.

Try Carl Flickinger- 239-234-4543. He got us a very reasonable policy which was a good deal less than the other quotes we got.

They represent several different insurance companies and can search for the best rates for you.

Did you get a wind mitigation inspection done when you had your home inspection? That may save you some money.

You sure got that right. The wind mit gave us a discount of $2400 per year on ours. That's more than a 2/3 discount!

This guy did a great job for us. The home inspection, wind mit, and termite/pest inspection. Cost $275 total.
