Never got to it, to be perfectly honest. You are obviously spending a lot of time and effort to prove a point. However, look at the house. It's on a nice street, has a 3 car garage, just under 1,700 sf, built in 2007, beautifully landscaped, with an inground pool w/enclosure for $100,000 ....need I say more? Of course there's something wrong with it! Even if it didn't mention defective drywall, I'd be suspicious since it's priced so low.

This is also a short sale, so the list price means little. All that really matters is what the lender will accept and what someone is willing to pay for it. If it's a beautiful home in a great neighborhood that's worth $150,000, maybe a buyer is willing to make an offer after getting an estimate for repair.

You can search the MLS all over SWFL and come back to this thread with examples if it makes you feel better. However, there are plenty of homes that recently sold in Cape Coral for less than $100,000 that had no drywall structural problems indicated in the description.

I suppose if you have nothing better to do, you can spend all week searching for examples, but this thread isn't offering helpful advice to people who are thinking about moving to Cape Coral, so it should be closed.

No worries, cviz. I think most of us get your point.
