Yikes,Kev.....you're bumming me out.Which beach are you talking about?
We've been on the beach durring red tide and don't like it very much....people coughing,dead fish everywhere.We'll go wherever we have to.Wonder if there is a map on line that shows where the red tide is?

Sun and rain has nothing to do with red tide. I've seen very large breakouts during season.

Large red tide bloom off Sanibel coast - NBC-2.com WBBH News for Fort Myers, Cape Coral & Naples, Florida

SANIBEL ISLAND, FL -
Recent satellite images are showing a large red tide bloom off five miles off the coast of Sanibel Island.
State biologists are reporting the bloom to be 25 miles long and 10 miles wide.
Water samples have confirmed the presence of red tide in Pine Island Sound, Placida Harbor and Charlotte Harbor, as well as in low concentrations at Port Boca Grande.
Water samples were clean in Collier, Sarasota, Manatee, Hillsborough, and Pinellas counties.

No dead fish have been spotted.
FWC will release the next set of test results on Friday.
