would like to stay nearby hate to drive far with all the drunks on the road that night. Doesn't fort myers downtown have stuff going on? I looked online and couldn't find anything. Thanks a bunch~M

They have the ball drop downtown, but it is far from kid friendly. It's essentially a block party that encompasses entire downtown. There are definitely people of all different ages, unfortunately not many if any under the age of 18.

Other than the fireworks at Cape Harbour (which I hear are nice), I'm not seeing much in the line of kid-friendly activities. Billy is right - I would not advise the downtown celebration for kids.

I just got an email from Bamboozles....not sure if that floats your boat. Says they will have a buffet. It is a skating rink, fyi. Kids seem to like it.
