Upon a quick look, I could not find any data to back up your statement that there have been "no pit bull attacks" in Miami-Dade since the ban. I did come across some third party material that states there have been bites from pit bulls (32 in 2007), and overall, Miami-Dade has an higher than average rate of dog bites.

Do you have a source for this data?
I said nothing about pitbull bites. I said there have been zero deaths and I know there are a lot of pitbulls in Miami Dade county even though they are illegal.

I didn't realize that Dade Co. had banned pit bulls....that's just not fair. What will all the drug dealers and gangbangers do now?
I can see them now...cruizin' the hood with a couple of schnauzers !

I stand corrected.

Now, how many deaths from pit bulls were there before the ban? Say since 1970?

And if there are a lot of pitbulls in the county, why have there been no deaths from them? If they are truly so dangerous, there would still be deaths from them if they are around, regardless of the ban.

Ys Samiamn, what on earth would give you the idea that drug dealers and gangbangers have a preference for pitbulls?

Silly me...don't know what I was thinking.........think a border collie would look funny in a spiked collar, though.
Also....pretty hard to keep your "street cred" when you're packing a pomeranian
