If you are going to do Ft. Myers stay south, I'd suggest Estero or even Bonita.. It is NOT boring there, there is LOTS to do... People need to look. However where you are looking isn't nice. So stay more south

does your husband have a job lined up here? what are the ages of your kids? what do you like to do for entertainment?

honestly , i don't think it's nearly as bad as people say it is. i've lived here for 26 years and i love it. i wouldn't say it's perfect but the good overrules the bad, at least in my case.

north fort myers isn't a bad area to live, just only in certain sections, much like the whole county. fort myers has great areas and not so great areas. ditto cape coral, lehigh, bonita, etc. just do a little research and ask when you have found a specific house, street, whatever.

just remember, it is hot and humid down here most of the time. please make sure you enjoy very warm weather for months at a time. if you think you'll miss the snow, or leaves changing, then this isn't the place for you.

i agree Fort Myers not a great area... Estero way better, not mentioning Naples...
