We've been full-timers in Cape Coral for about a week now, unpacking most of the time, but next week we want to start establishing residency. We know we'll need FL driver licenses, car titles transferred, address changes with LeePA, LCEC, water company, voter registration, etc. Does a listing exist that documents a comprehensive listing and sequence of events? Thanks in advance.

You are considered a Florida resident …
when your true, fixed, and permanent home and principal establishment is in Florida. Filing a declaration of domicile, qualifying for homestead exemption, or registering to vote in Florida can establish residency. Other actions, such as obtaining a Florida driver’s license, only indicate an intent to establish residency. http://dor.myflorida.com/dor/forms/2009/gt800025.pdf

First would be gather your documents for your license (which include 2 residency proofs - ie utility bill / work order, auto insurance) then get your license - car titles transfered. After that... as you wish
