ever done it?
for Christmas break.. to bring down some of mother-in-laws furniture.. who will be officially moving down to her new house in the Spring.

It's completely empty right now.. but we'd like to spend some time over the holidays and thought we could bring down a bed and couch, etc. Not sure it's worth the cost.

Is there any way to find people traveling there who might have room in a truck?

Thanks.

Isn't a CRV a rather smallish, really, really short wheelbase Honda crossover suv? Check the mfg's GVWR (Gross vehicle weight rating) to be certain you are within safe specs.

I wouldnt do it, in the winter. With possible / probable icy roads, that are unfamiliar to you, and a trailer that may want to push a short wheelbase vehicle sideways, safety is the bigger issue I see here.

I'd post this in the automotive forums here at C-D. You'll get more opinions regarding the safety issues of what you're proposing.

You might check at Uship.com to see if you can find a cheap ride for your stuff.

YC.......

I had a Ford Aerostar - extended version - pull a trailer full of tools from Fort Myers to Knoxville, TN and it had to pull over about every sixty miles because it would overheat. At least every 60 miles. It made it but barely. Do. Not. Do. It.
