We close on an existing vacation rental home in Cape Coral next week. I need recommendations on the best company to have a bundle with cable, wireless internet, and phone. I do not want payperview or on demand. I have gone through their websites of century and Comcast and can't tell with all the hidden and extra fees what the monthly bill would be. Help!

Normally with Comcast modem rentals, cable boxes and taxes/fees are the only other extras. I never had internet phone so don't know if there are extra fees with that.

You can call and get a quote for the total. If you get a $99 triple play you can expect to pay about $30 extra for one box, the modem rental and taxes.

You're looking at average bill of $120 or so for the bundle. Just be careful to read the package carefully....some of those packages go up after a year.

The price on the site will say $99 but you can add another $20 or more for fees and taxes.

That's a personal choice that only you can make. I've heard good and bad about both.

I have Comcast now and hate it with a passion. Their service, overall service, sucks to high heaven. But my gated community only allows me to have Comcast and thankfully I don't pay a dime for it's crappy service.

If it's a vacation home that you're going to rent out, do you need a landline? You could get away with the cheapest cable/internet package. People don't go on vacation to sit in front of the boob-tube. They might want to catch the local news and you can get that on the cheapest package Comcast offers.

I'm going to rent mine out for the winter months this year as we cannot go to Cape Coral. Do they have a winter package?

Yes, you can put your service on vacation mode and they only charge you $10 per month. Probably best to call them.

I use the seasonal from Comcast and you lose the cheap intro bundle after the first season of doing this. Full rate for HD tv ( about 200 channels) , phone and internet will top out at 160-170 a month. That will drop for up to 6 months to around 15.00. You will start out cheap but that goes away with both services. People use both at my complex and Prism might end up 10.00/ month cheaper but that's it after the honeymoon period is gone. If you are willing to go through the hassle, one of my neighbors signs up and quits each year. He is always is a new customer but it is a hassle too even though he schedules the hook up from up north so it can be done as soon as he gets down here.
