Any suggestions on a good place for a couple to go out to eat, drink and then dance ? Prefer live music, but not imperative. Not into the 20 something scene, but also not into the retirement scene. Can be place with a mix of singles and couples. Looking for a fun evening with a young minded crowd...anywhere between Fort Myers and Naples..thanks !.

You are gonna be kind of hard pressed to find that, either places are generally younger or older than what you seem to be looking for. Your best bet is probably 47th Terrace in Cape Coral, there are a bunch of restaurants and bars, for dancing you can hit Dixies.

Agree with Billy above. Dixies is a pretty nice place with a somewhat younger crowd. They play mostly country and southern rock but occasionally break out a decent rock band. Little older crowd but pretty fun is Tuesday night at Cape Harbour.

Although I haven't been out in the nightclub scene in years, Groove Street and the Laugh In Comedy Cafe in Fort Myers used to be a good choice for the age range you're talking about.

Good luck!

Don't go there for anything other than the comedy shows, which aren't usually all that great anyways. After the shows the place turns into a dance club per say and the crowd totally changes, there can be some sketchball people there. The area behind the strip mall and near the college is not great and Pine Manor is less than a mile away, need I say more? It's not worth it! This place hasn't been decent in at least 5-10 years.

As long as you don't go during or around spring break the Kai is ok. Not a place I recommend to many people.
