If you guys want to go up there to visit the nest, you have to hurry. The "Babies" are almost ready to fledge. I am visiting the nest almost since the very beginning on and watching the eagletts from "egg stage" on. It is just amazing how much nature there still is in North Fort Myers. There is a 24/7 eagle cam at the nest and you can watch them online - however the "Babies" are "big" Eagles now and are not in the nest very often anymore. that means your best bet to see the Eaglets and Mom and Dad - drive out to the nest and watch them from the ground. Nest is located on the corner of Bayshore Road and Pritchett Road in North Fort Myers - you can watch the eagles from a good distance from the other site of the pasture fence, so bring your binoculars and/or zoom camera.

Here is a link to the "eagle feed": USTREAM - You're On - Broadcast Live Streaming Video, Watch Online Events, Chat Live, send a Tweet, follow on Facebook, MySpace, record your Live Shows

Here are some pictures I took during the past few month:

Little bit of Drama at the Eagles today. Hope landed on the pasture and had quiet some problems to get back up. She finally made it. Mom and Dad were watching their "little" one on the pasture, ready to protect it, should there have been some danger. They also called out for her to encourage her trying. She finally made it but was to late for dinner - oh well tomorrow is another day.

Thank you Monika for posting these. I've been following the Eagle cam and have actually visited the site, ever since Ozzy and Harriet returned to the nest last year. It's a refreshing change from the near constant vitriol about the Fort Myers area, and to see how fortunate we are to live in this area and experience this kind of thing when most Americans really can't in person. Thank you!!
