We will be north of Cape Coral Parkway in a couple weeks. If anyone is familiar with the area, could you recommend any casual restaurants or bars? Sports bars or music would be nice.
Any recommendations outside of the neighborhood would be welcome also.

The joint on Tuesday nights can be good. Micellis in matlacha and berets bar always seem to have something going on. I have been to the nauti mermaid and have seen pretty good entertainment.

A good sports bar is The Dog, about 1/2 mile north of CC Pkwy on Del Prado. The food is good there too. Try the prime rib at Jimbos on Del Prado on Fri or Sat nights. Wednesday night Iguana Mia has a $6.00 Marguerita that is like 24 oz.-on CC Pkwy. The Dixie Roadhouse has dancing and music every night on 47th Terrace, Carmines on Del Prado has good Italian and Broccoli Rabe too.

We love going to Micelli's, it's on Pine Island Rd. They have music every night outside and it's on the water. It's a very busy popular place so go early if you can. Music usually starts at 5:00-5:30.

Casual Rest. = Pape Joes, Nevermind, Brew Babies (cheepest to highest)
Music = Backstreets (popular local bands), Dixie Roadhouse (country nightclub), The Buddha (college crowd, popular bands), Rackem Billiards (heavier rock, metal, ska, etc). A new sports bar is opening called the Cape COral Arena (something like that) downtown Cape Coral. Opens this Wednesday I think. Really depends on preference and age.

I would definitely check out Rum Runners. The view while eating dinner is amazing and the food there is top notch. They also have another out door bar there and the views are amazing.
