My husband and I are moving to Cypress Cay in Gateway at the end of May. We both work full-time and need child care for our two year old and summer camp for our five year old. We are new to the area and would prefer something local to us. I have my daughter on a wait list for Brown Academy for the 2013-14 school year. So I will need to find an altrnative for the summer months. My son is signed up for Gateway charter elementary. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Stay at home moms, college students looking for a summer job (preferably studying in the educationn field). Thank you.

So I take it no one on this forum has ever passed by a daycare or has children that have ever needed care so they can work full time? Can someone give me information for another forum at least?

Try craigslist in the top corner under community section is full of daycare- there was one ad in particular where the lady ran a licensed daycare and also worked at brown academy

If you are interested in home care for your 2 year old I would recommend contacting Florida Gulf Coast University and maybe they can put an ad up on one of their boards throughout the college. The school that your older child is signed up for should offer some type of summer camp. My son has summer camp offered at his school and we live in Cape Coral.
