My husband may be taking a job in the Cape Coral area within a month so we would be relocating from Southern WI.. I would be looking to find something quick, since I am presently Bartending/Waitressing now I would look for that. Preferably lunches or early dinner hour. I am use to very good wages where I am at presently as we not only get a great hourly, but we also are busy which makes for more tips. What would be suggestions for that area? I work at a very laid back Supper club type bar on the Lake here right now and could only hope for the same. Does anyone know of the "happening" good food and drink places that pay well? Thanks any info would be great!

A lot of experience eating and drinking at them, none working. Seriously though....lots of places to check, its the beginning of the busy season in SWFl. At Cape Harbor, Rum Runners, The Joint, At Tarpon Point, Marker 92 Bistro, The Mermaid. These are some of the more popular places to check. Fords Garage just opened another location on Cape Coral Parkway. Their are lots of independent places to but not sure how much hiring they do. Seems like the places we go folks don't turn over much, the same wait staff for every visit. Jobs are at a premium in the area. This is the best time of the year to find one in the service industry.

All good suggestions from Beak Boater.....stay away from the "early bird" joints due to lousy tipping.
The good jobs are coveted so you may have to start part time andwork your way up.
