I have several banana trees and water and fertilize them and they just dont get bigger than a foot. I had tress in Mississippi and they did outstanding. We moved to Pensacola FL and live really close to the coastline. I fertilize, mulch, water and even prepared a bed for them when I planted them with no success. They get plenty of sun and are planted where they will not get blown over. Any pointers?

I use miracle grow liquid in the bottles that connect to the hose. The plants look great they just do not grow very fast.

I would consider getting a soil test. most of our coastal areas have a PH of 7.5 to 8. plants usually will not get taller than their roots can grow. it may be a soil condition or worst case it could be a compaction issue. the soil is too tight to allow for root growth.
