At the bottom of the map it says gladeolus, then an area that says Biggar. That is in the Harlem Heights area.

You might try the search function and read the cape coral threads - there has been some discussion on this before. I believe that several people liked west cape coral but felt it better to avoid east?? I can't quite remember but the lots of response on the other threads.

Suggest avoiding anywhere & everything north of Page Field.

Lehigh Acres is definitely a place to avoid. Serious gang problem & lack of police to deal with problems in the city. Mayor of LA has acknowledge this fact several times.

If you live in Cape Coral & work in FM or elsewhere, you have to pay to cross the bridge though you can get a monthly pass for something like $30/month. Traffic from Nov-Apr on the bridge is horrendous during peak hours.

The area around Daniels is decent & there are quite a few new condos around the airport, which is also a better area.

Due to the desperation sellers/renters are facing in Fort Myers, you can find quite a decent place for a good deal right now. There is just way too much inventory & not enough demand.

If you can make in the area of $35-40k/yr, you can live quite comfortably in the area. I take into account rent, renters insurance, utilities(elec, internet, phone, cable), food, car payment/insurance,& basic living supplies, & not so common things such as oil changes, haircuts, presents for holidays, items for home decoration. I'm sure you could make less & survive, but I prefer to enjoy being able to survive in a reasonable way & not on the bare minimum though it can be done.

Lehigh Acres is lee county and not a city. Sorry no Mayor in Lehigh. But I would not live there.

That's right. My bad, sorry. But there was some authority figure on tv & in the newspaper throughout the past year who stated that there was not a strong enough police force in LA.

If I also remember correctly, it was a land scam that went the right way & the original guys made some major bucks off of it. Now, it's just a mess.

I'd say look at Fort Myers, Cape Coral, & then Estero in that order.
