Last night due to the storm our power went out in SE Cape Coral (again). It went out around 6 p.m. and almost everybody had theirs back on within 30 minutes except me and a few other houses next to me. We didn't get our electricity back on until 9:30 p.m. This has happened a few times since I moved in 9 months ago; our little block of houses will have no power but everybody else does.

I lived in Gateway 4 years and never even had a glitch in our power. Even during Hurricane Irma we didn't lose power and that area was hit worse than Cape Coral. However my part of the Cape was without electricity for 8 days! Of course that was FPL, not LCEC.

Is there some issue with LCEC or maybe the grid I am on? I plan on calling them tomorrow (Monday) to see what is going on. The week before they had a power surge which did something to my a/c unit which cost me $153. The technician said he was out on a few calls for the same thing. Anybody have information as to why LCEC can't keep the power on?
