Agree with previous posters that Cracker Barrel, First Watch, and Perkins (best pancakes!) are great for breakfast. But two other good ones are Marti's Family Restaurant and Marko's Diner on San Carlos Blvd.

Yeah, definitely looking for local places. I've eaten at Cracker Barrels and Perkins all over the country most of my life

Hi all,
First time post on this board, but I thought that I would throw one in that hasn't been mentioned

Truly Scrumptious on Fort Myers Beach in the Santini Plaza. I love their pancakes, although everything that I have had there has been good!

I also agree with Mels Diner and First Watch.

I haven't been to most of the other's mentioned.

Surprised no one has mentioned Annies Restaurant in Cape Coral...…….it is an old Cape Coral favorite. Nothing fancy, parking is somewhat limited, off the beaten path, but the food is good old time breakfast fare and reasonable. Service was always very good too. Give you more than you can eat. Always crowded.

Now, I can't remember if they take credit cards or not, so you may want to take cash the first visit.

Try the Salty Crab on Fort Myers Beach. Good food and toes in the sand while you eat breakfast watching dolphins. Also try Heavenly Biscuit on Fort Myers Beach. Amazing food!

What are your fav places to eat breakfast? (not brunch )

I've been to (in order of my favorite):

Bonita Brunch
Straight from NY Bagels
Poached
Skillets (North Naples location) - thought it was over hyped (I don't eat potato pancakes either)

My top chain is First Watch - FT Myers location was great, even the smaller North Naples location was really good.

What about places on/near the water for breakfast?

Sunburst Cafe
In an area where restaurants have come and gone, this one has stood the test of time.
Their baked goods are off the chain.

Try Blueberries off 41. It is delicious! Heck, we even go there to have breakfast for dinner sometimes.

I just got back from Cape Coral last night, stopped in at a great place I truly recommend . The Omelets Shop on SW 16th Street.
