I love trying new breakfast places and since season is over, its a great time to enjoy our local restaurants.

What are your fav places to eat breakfast? (not brunch )

I've been to (in order of my favorite):

Bonita Brunch
Straight from NY Bagels
Poached
Skillets (North Naples location) - thought it was over hyped (I don't eat potato pancakes either)

My top chain is First Watch - FT Myers location was great, even the smaller North Naples location was really good.

What about places on/near the water for breakfast?

First Watch is my favorite followed by (don't laugh) Perkins. Their buttermilk pancakes are the best and even Cracker Barrel has a good breakfast which is served all day.

We used to enjoy Starlight Diner in NW Cape Coral until it closed. We love Island Cow on Sanibel. Went to CRaVE in Fort Myers once - it was okay but nothing special in my opinion. Been to several other local places but they are better suited for a "worst of" list. It's hard to give props to a lot of local places on breakfast because I've noticed a tendency to try and serve you greasy slop and that just isn't our thing so we don't usually return.7

Chains: Love First Watch, too, though I'd have to say that some locations are better than others. In the Fort Myers area I prefer the First Street Village (Downtown) or Design Center locations. The other Fort Myers locations are good, too, with the exception being the Gulf Coast Town Center location. The service there when we went was very poor compared to any of the other First Watch locations I'd gone to and there was something (lettuce or ???) in my coffee cup so I will never go back to that location again. My favorites there are the Bacado and the A.M. Super Foods Bowl. Metro Diner has a really good breakfast, especially if you're looking for the basics. I agree that Cracker Barrel's all day breakfast is good as well. I like being able to get breakfast for dinner. I'll even eat at Bob Evans.

The Golden fork downtown is excellent, as is the Farmers Market. And Biggies has a decent breakfast

These sound great, I'll definitely add them to my list.

I've been to the Sanibel ones on the list.

Thanks everyone!
