I echo Newsome. Mine was $75 and saved me about $1400. The form they fill out is a standardized form. Your guy just needs to be licensed and your insurance company will accept it.

No one legit does them for $75 anymore. Most of my clients save between $500 and $1000. In one extreme case I saved a guy $12,000, he was on Port of the Isles in a very expensive home.

Most cost $125 to $150 these days. We now have to provide a lot more documentation and photos, which dropped out most of the $75 bottom feeders that provided hand filled out reports with no photos or a quality typed, computer generated report that can be stored on a hard drive and emailed when needed.

Shop around we pay only $100.00 for ours.
Contact a insurance company, ask them who they use. they usually are cheeper because they get all the ins. company business.
Our insurance company required that inspection and we saved money.

We paid to have a wind mitigation done and it didn't help us on our insurance. Our house was built in 2006 and the insurance company already gave us all of the discounts we were entitled to. $150 is too much to pay for a wind mitigation - several companies will do it for around $75.

With our HOI, it will drop it $800/yr!!! So it is def. worth the insp. If the home has all the bells and whistles they are looking for, it will save you big time$$.

The biggest savings come from a hip roof and having protection on all of your glass.
