IMO you got it backwards. The natives have had decades to fix their stuff. Why in the world do you guys insist it's "transients" and whoever else...that is the ruin of Florida? The transients arent last in graduation stats and all the other crap here.....

Especially when you yourself (s?) are a recent resident?

Depends on the native, just like any other person. My main beef (as you very well know) is the unproductive malcontents, wherever they came from.

Too much mental exercising and not enough simple truth:

Florida can exist just fine as the nation's largest retirement community, served by restaurants, retail trade, health care, a bit of real estate, and tourism. Who ever said it needed big honkin' industry?

For example, I have my own business that runs out of the state, and therefore I can contribute to the state economy with zero impact. If the state fills up with nothing but retirees, how is that anything but good?

Stop blaming, folks, and just accept that it is what it is and always will be. In fact, the state's greatest strength is the very relaxed, lifestyle-centric philosophy that makes Florida, Florida.
