Same with me. I had to leave for IN on Sunday but I have cameras set up so I can watch at least until we lose power or Internet. I'll be going back next Sunday. You can listen to wink radiro 1270 on line to get the latest info. Good luck to you.

I live on Pelican Blvd. I can let you know how things are. Not bad now, just breezy with some small gusts, and rain. It's 11PM 8/18...

I had power as of 3:30 AM but now as of 7:00 either power or comcast is out. From the radio reports it there are about 6000 comcast customers in the Naples area out, that is probably me.

They said that the mail will be delivered today (Tuesday) except for Marco.

It's 8:30 AM here in Cape Coral. The winds are whipping pretty good. The center of the storm is just southeast of us. Still have power for now, still have cable. Lots of wind, lots of rain. A few power surges.

I am in East Naples. My lights flickered a few times but I did not lose power. A lot of wind and rain, but the winds seem to be blowing across the houses here, which are very close together. My lanai has a roof so it is barely even wet! I just sat outside watching it all. Actually it isn't bad at all. I can remember Gloria back on Long Island. That was a lot worse.

It seems Marco and Everglades City got the worse of it. Last I heard Marco was flooded and without power. I heard that Airport and Golden Gate Pkw. was flooded and closed. Hmm, they just finished building that overpass. That is a very big intersection there. Maybe they didn't plan right for drainage? I also heard that the Government Center off Airport is flooded and without power also. They also said Golden Gate was hit pretty hard with flooding and power outages. I am just south of there and nothing much here. Just lucky I guess.

All in all, not a really bad storm. I have seen worse on Long Island.

I'm just to the north in North Port (southern Sarasota county). Minimal winds and just a lot of rain. It's not any worse than some the of the summertime rainstorms.

It's not too bad and I think the worst of it has already passed.

Good thoughts to all of you in lee County and Collier. I've been watching the news all day. The New Press has had great coverage, including live video. Just want you to know that I was thinking of you.

My dad's over in Melbourne and they have been having problems with tornadoes.
