10 miles can make a major difference. I know it did on LI. The weather people used to joke about it all the time. If you live south of the LIE, get out your umbrellas. If you live north of the LIE, get out your shovels. It was very true. I actually used to watch the Connecticut weather because if was more in line with what I would be getting on the north shore of LI.

It's weird but in this area a few miles can make a big difference.

Big fan of vodka, tho I'm not sure it helped, mr.cool's vodka/cranberry/oj drink turned into a slushie.
Speaking of rain here/snow there, last week in Milwaukee it was snowing like the beejeebies in the south, and in the western 'burbs absolutely nothing.

I landed in Baltimore on the day of the big snow last week. It was probably one of the best landing that I've had in the past few months! Probably because they were paying more attention. The crews did a great job, and the field crews must have too, because although there was snow everywhere, they had the landing strips cleared very well.

I went up to the Rochester NY area on Sunday and Monday. It was overcast, cold, raw, dreary, rainy/snowy the whole time I was there. I am so glad to be back in Florida. While I was up there I made a presentation on a project - careful what you wish for cause you just might get it, and if you're good you probably will! I think we are going to be awarded a nice development project, and it will suck me back up there on an all-to-often basis. :-) / :-(.

Hey beachbum, I'm planning on staying till about the end of April, and possibly longer. I may go back and forth to Maryland depending on how some potential business / things turn out. Gotta get started on that soon. My sunshiny friends are getting anxious - I can tell.
