Just curious if you can see any sign of one lifting off in Ft Myers? I'm thinking not but here in Charleston, SC we can see a lift off from the beach.

Well, yes, you can see a "sign" that it is lifting off, but only at night, and it doesn't really look like much.

You can see them in the daylight as well....A tiny point of fire with a long trail behind it. And the separation is typically quite noticeable also. But of course the night launches are much more visible. Best time to see them from SW FL is during the winter months when the skies are clear. During the summer, theres lots of clouds between here and Canaveral, usually obscures the view.

I was on I 4 this past Wednesday, near Orlando at 5:45 am, was expecting to see the best show ever. Too bad it got scrubbed again........

Thanks! We had planned on driving down for that launch. We've driven down two other times trying to see a launch but they were both scrubbed.

I've never purposefully driven up to see a launch for that same reason...they rarely go off at the appointed time.

I just happened to have to take a road trip to deliver a boat to Maryland this week. On my travels up(and down)I 95, I noticed it's just as hot all the way up thru the southern portion of Virginia, as it is here lately...darn that global warming.
