I have some friends who will be visiting and staying on Sanibel.
Do any of the bars/ restaurants have happy hours?
Are there any waterfront restaurants?
Any recommendations are appreciated !

There are TONS of places to go there! I don't know about Happy Hour, but you should definitely check out The Bubble Room, Tween Waters Inn, The Mad Hatter, The Lazy Flamingo, Sanibel Steakhouse, and the Great White Grill!

We were just there....The Timbers and Doc Fords were the two restaurants we went to for evening dinners....both amazing! would go again in a minute.
No info on happy hours tho'....every hour there was happy hour for us! We are from Saskatchewan in Canada! It was snowing here while we were on Sanibel!

Why ask about Happy Hour?

That's so unbelievably tacky.

Same thing for the whole "Early Bird Specials" deal.

Almost every place has a daily happy hour. If I were on vacation, I'd want to be at a spot by the Gulf to watch the sunset.

It's been a long time since I've been to any "Happy Hour" since I get drunk on the first glass. http://bestsmileys.com/drinking/4.gif (broken link)

Sundial has a really pretty view of the Gulf from the bar.

Depends if you like a lively Happy Hour with music or are just looking for some 2-fer drinks.

I like Captiva. Tween Waters is a nice place to go.

Check on "Where To Dine" and there will be a description of the restaurant. If the restaurant has a web site, then you can look at the menu too.

I don't think it is tacky to ask about Happy Hour.

Our economy is bad and saving money is good.

I would say Sundail, great view, nice place.

It's never a good time to be cheap....especially if you're from out of town.

Lee County needs cheap tourists coming in like I need a rubber braciole.

The Mucky duck is a fantastic place to visit while on Captiva. Directly on the Gulf, low key , you can sit outside with your feet in the sand and have a drink as well...thats' livin!
