One of our great blues bands from up here in the Milwaukee/Chicago area are going to be down there this week Monday and Tuesday, "Reverend Raven and the Chain Smoking Altar Boys"
I'm sure we were there. We were very close to the bridge. Beer and wine is all we need.

You would remember it by the parking being very limited, it sits right up to the road so there are just a few straight in spots in front of it. It can be quite a challenge to back out onto that highway when you want to leave. And of course the police love to watch you do that. They also own the art gallery across the street, so you can park there as well. It's very dark inside, and it takes a few minutes to get your eyes acclimated when you step into that dark bar. The outside seating on the pier is great too. The last time we were there, in November, it was raining, so we spent most of the afternoon in the bar. One of their regular bands was playing at the Burnt Store Marina that night, so after talking to the drummer for awhile, we drove up there to see him and his band. Talk about culture shock in one afternoon!!

We did sit outside first time we were there - stupidly got sunburned as it was Feb and we'd come from Scotland. We stayed at a motel on that road and I remember backing out onto the main road was always a pain.

It was Knoll's Court where we stayed.

The Matlacha Oyster House is nice as is Bert's. I like the Sandy Hook too. I travel from Fort Myers to Matlacha to get bait every week. Hand pick shrimp for 3 bucks a dozen, that's a sweet price.

There are many Art galleries there too. You can pick up some nice paintings for a new house...some paintings can be had for a reasonable price...other paintings, kind of high.
