The Rainy Season Continues (Fort Worth, Haltom City: homes, college, tornadoes)

[Synopsis]

It appears that we are definitely stuck in a wet, wet, WET pattern around here. This is good and bad, as seen by the recent floods in Haltom City. As late a yesterday, I was under the impression that we would be going into a drying out period for at least the rest of the week, but after looking at WFAA's website, I saw the following forecast, which showed rain and thunderstorms forecast for the rest of the week, along with this content:

"Scattered showers and storms this morning, then a break, and then scattered storms in the afternoon, redevloping again late tonight and tomorrow. We have a stalled out upper-level disturbance that will keep rain chances going into the weekend, and then another disturbance arrives next week with more showers and storms. The rainy season continues..."

It's certainly going to be an interesting summer folks!

Intersting indeed, Synopsis. My flower garden needs sun! I live north of Fort Worth off Heritage Trace Parkway and it started to rain as I was typing this

I would rather have this rain than heat...BUT, too much rain at one time is a BAD thing!!

Affer close to 2 years in a severe drought, I don't mind this rain one bit! Except for the flash floods and the patchy flooding, like the Haltom City area, there has never been widespread flooding in the almost 48 years I lived in the Fort Worth area.

I could certainly do without those darn skeeters though.....haha

I hope that this rain season wil be finished as soon as. In August I'm there.

You think you have a rainy season, you should come to Western Washington. Middle of June and it is 58 degrees out and yes, raining. I can not wait to graduate college next year and move to Texas!! So remember when you get depressed it is raining for a week or two, you could live here where we have not seen sun for about 6 months now except for an occasional day or two.

The bad thing here is that people die when it rains so much due to the flash flooding. I don't think it is a matter of us having to put up with no sun...but, that so many people have lost their homes and cars...and so many lives have been lost (especially this year).

There has been danger because of all the flash flooding which has killed quite a few people in Central and North Texas. As far as tornadoes though, there haven't been any, just lightning and thunder with some of the storms.

It would be very unusual for August to be rainy. It will more than likely be so hot, you won't be able to wait to get back to Italy. Don't worry. The weather in August has never been dangerous except for excessive heat deaths but that can be avoided if one keeps hydrated and doesn't over do it in the heat.

I know you'll have a wonderful time, and I can't wait to see how you like Texas.

No rain so far this weekend. I'll water my tree in the evening after 6:00.
