I am a CNA relocating to the DFW area from California, I work in the Acute Care setting and am wondering what the pay is like as well as how easy it is to transfer my CNA license to Texas.
Thank you in advance.

Here's the website for the Texas Nurse Aide Registry: Nurse Aide Registry (DADS)

Click on "forms" on the top left, and then on Form 5505, which is the Reciprocity process. It will take about a month to get the reciprocity certification done, as long as you are able to get all of your paperwork submitted quickly. No, you cannot work on an out-of-state CNA certification in Texas, so it is important that you get the reciprocity done ASAP.

CNAs in long-term care facilities in the DFW area make between $10 and $11 hourly. The hospitals and LTAC facilities pay better, but are more difficult to get hired. Most LTC facilities work 4/2 8 hour shifts, and the hospitals work 3 12-hour shifts.

Good luck!!
