Will be in town on business and need a short term place to stay for a few weeks. Work is trying to put me up at the Crossland Economy Studios by the Fossil Creek Gold Club. I've heard some mixed reviews about that place/neighborhood and just want to make sure it is safe? Also, how bad is the traffic on 35W b/c I'll be commuting in peak travel times just south of downtown FW? Thanks.

South of downtown FW to Fossil Creek is a LONG drive! I'd estimate 30-45 minutes in peak rush hour. Couldn't they get you somewhere closer?
