Hello! What are the furthest points in north and south DFW that are within REASONABLE (less than 45 mins) commuting distance to both UT-Arlington and Texas Wesleyan University?

Thanks!!!

Probably anything within 15-20 miles of each. You should get a map, mark each school and see where a few circles interconnect.

Are you going to rent an apartment ? Why not get one close to the school and only have a 10-15 minute commute. I would think south Arlington would have some nice places and get you to both schools quickly.

I have animals and need a fenced yard. Plus, I like the biggest lots possible. Thanks!

biggest lots and rental property means the "sticks" to me--areas south of Arlington around Mansfield/Rendon but don't know about rental property in those areas---
Burleson would not be that bad a commute to TWU but would not be easy for UTA

I work at Wesleyan, and live in the Hulen/Risinger area of town. Takes 'bout half an hour from here, and it's an easy half hour.

The Mansfield area may be your only decent choice for both. Both schools are south of I-30, and going north is going to be a problem with traffic.

South, Burleson area could work out for you. North, probably Argyle, Denton. Maybe also look around Denison.

there is NO WAY that driving from Argyle/Denton or DENISON is going to be a 45 min commute to either of those schools---
person would be using I35 and that drive gets nothing but complains from people going either way on it

ummmm........my neighbor's kids both drove daily M-F, each for a year to attend Jr. College 2 years ago before they got residency here in Dallas County between Las Colinas and Denison. 45 minutes.

One of my friends is a teacher in South Irving and lives in Denton; 45 minutes each way.

both those commutes equal or are farther than TWU and UT Arlington.

Gee... what's your personal experience with those commutes, Loves2????

Those may be longer commutes, but I-35W, regardless of rush-hour direction, is a total disaster at rush hour.

I went from Wesleyan to Harvest Ridge, basically 35W and 170, early last week. It was 'bout 4:15 pm when I left the Wesleyan campus. Got there @ 5:45. No wrecks, no stuck vehicles, no police action, I didn't get lost, no nothing but two lanes and enough cars/trucks to fill 8.

To put it another way, in order to avoid the southbound mess to go home (SW FW) at 5:47 pm, I rode the 820 loop to the west all the way to Bryant-Irvin.

I can see where using the West Loop was the better course of action--
and frankly
the two colleges mentioned are south of I-30--
there is no way that driving Denton to Texas Weslyan is shorter than driving Denton to Las Colinas...
Denton to Las Colinas is 10 min shorter on Google maps and that is not even taking into account the I-35 FTW boondoggle...

From Denison to TWU Google maps says right at 2 hrs to 2 hrs 15 min depending on the route--and again--does not really take actually traffic time into consideration---
and you did suggest Denison--maybe you were thinking of differentr town in Denton area--but that was what you posted...
